There
are some exciting changes taking place in the Federal Legislation Assistance
Division of ODCTE. Beginning with FY13
this fall, the FLA office recently divided the Perkins fiscal agent recipient
areas into three regions, located in the Western (north to south), Northeastern,
and Central/Southeastern parts of Oklahoma. By sharing the regions we will be better able
to serve you and provide the assistance that you need, coordinating with the ODCTE Regional Administrators
and Technology Centers
Services coordinators. We’ll
spend time going to your districts, learning the content of your grant(s),
seeing how your Perkins funds are improving CTE/technical program and student
performance, and enhancing college and career readiness. Email may be the best way to communicate as
we begin to coordinate travel schedules
Jeremy Zweiacker will be the contact for the Central/Southeast region. Jeremy has been the State Coordinator for Tech Prep (Title II of the Carl Perkins legislation) since 2006 and is currently the State Programs of Study and College Transition Coordinator. His email is jzwei@okcareertech.org and telephone is 405-743-6881.

Assistant since May 2009, will be the contact for the Northeast
region. Josh coordinates the online
applications, the online tutorials, and is responsible for overseeing the
Perkins Supplemental Grants. His email is jmill@okcareertech.org and telephone

Janet
Cooper, State Perkins Coordinator, will be the contact for the Western region
(areas west of I-35, and north and south of the Metro area). Janet will continue to coordinate statewide Perkins
activities and implementation from the federal level to state eligible
recipients at the local level. Her email
is jcoop@okcareertech.org and
telephone is 405-743-5130.

IMPACT
IMPACT is the online financial system that manages Perkins budgets, Change Requests, and Requests for Reimbursement. All budgets need to be set up in the system for approval at the same time the applications are reviewed and approved. Requests for Reimbursement and Change Requests during the year cannot be submitted without an approved budget.
If you have changes that will affect your IMPACT processes, please let us know. This includes any changes to staff during the year, etc. The sooner we know about needed changes in the system, the smoother the IMPACT process is for you. https://www.okcareertech.org/impact
IMPACT tutorials
If you need a refresher, or need to learn how to use IMPACT, we have several short online tutorials that cover everything from resetting your password to changing your budget.
