To assist Perkins
recipients with meeting new requirements for and completing the FY15 Local
Application for activities funded under the Carl D. Perkins Career and
Technical Education Act of 2006, the Federal Legislation Assistance staff is
holding two onsite technical assistance workshops.

The topics in all sessions
will include the FY15 Perkins State Plan revisions and how they affect Perkins
funding, an overview of the changes to the FY15 Local Application, and time for
open discussion and Q/A.
The workshops are
planned for the staff member(s) responsible for completing the
application. There is no registration
charge, but the number of participants accepted for each workshop is
limited. You must register to attend.
If you must cancel
your registration, please email your cancellation as soon as possible so that
other recipients may attend.
To register, please
email carlperkins@careertech.ok.gov with the date and
number of participants attending no later than 5 p.m. on Monday, May 19, 2014. We will confirm all reservations by return
email.
For those who prefer
to participate without traveling, an online Web Meeting session (telephone and
Internet) is planned for May 28, 2014, at 2 p.m. and lasting approximately two
hours. Keep in mind that we are limited
to 125 incoming calls and are allowing only ONE call-in per fiscal agent
district. We will provide instructions
for the call in and log in following the registration closing date.
The FY15 Local Application for Carl Perkins funding will be open at the end of business hours Thursday May 15, 2014. It is the advice of the Federal Legislation Assistance Division to wait on beginning the application until after you have completed one of the three available workshop time slots.
